konig meyer 26783 review a

When out to get a brand new flat TV most people also need to take into account space restrictions which is also the primary reason as to why wall mounts have become so popular over the years. Still there are instances where you simply can't use a wall mount and so you're limited to either using the bundled table stand/legs of your TV or turn towards more "targeted" solutions. These solutions include either ceiling mounts (difficult installation, can't be moved around - highly popular for projector use) or floor stands (more versatile - take up quite a bit of space) both of which is not something we see used a lot. Last year i received the 26782 screen/monitor stand by König & Meyer and even though i was a bit sceptical at first not only did it fit right at home in our lab during testing but it was also a very popular article (review here) and on top of that in the months to come many of you even asked for us to check the 26783 model out. Well it did take a while for me to do that but the 26783 model is finally here.

The name König & Meyer has stood for sophisticated and original music accessories for 70 years. The company’s loyalty to its home base of Germany, the high quality and reliability of its products and an environmentally-aware production system are strengths which have firmly established the company in the international market.

Compared to the previously reviewed 26782 screen/monitor stand the 26783 version may not be that different (same tube design) but it does sport some differences, mainly due to the fact that it can support much larger screens (officially the 26782 can be used with up to 46" models whereas the 26783 model can be used with up to 65" models). So even though both models feature 2-piece folding designs the 17.12Kg heavy 26782 model had a single leg (cast iron - 420x420mm) whereas the 17.9Kg heavy 26783 has two (steel profile tubes - 900x500mm). Both stands also feature VESA-D/E/F compatibility, spring loaded clamping knobs (height adjustment) and a height range between 1100mm and 1650mm. So, let’s see if the 26783 by König & Meyer monitor/screen stand is the one to get if you’re looking for a quality floor stand to mount your brand new flat TV on.
