drevo falcon review b

The Falcon is one of the most unique looking gaming mice to ever pass from my test bench and that alone says a lot. Of course, the entire concept is rather simple since in essence we’re talking just about a perforated enclosure but it works and that’s all that matters (simple yet effective). The PMW3389 optical sensor has proven itself time and again to be one of the best currently in the market with excellent tracking speed and accuracy and so the Falcon doesn’t disappoint in that area. Gliding properties are also very good with the 3 PTFE feet behaving as they should under a 70g heavy mouse. As for the 1.8 meter long ultra-soft cable well this isn’t the first time, we’ve seen a shoelace like one and honestly their durability is still in question (since I haven’t used one for ultra-long periods of time however, I can’t comment on that). The rubber coated clickable scroll wheel is also a tad higher than what i'd like but that's really something that takes but a few minutes to get used to.

DREVO has always priced their products aggressively and the Falcon is no exception since it currently retails for just USD42.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for 43Euros inside the EU (Amazon.co.uk). Yes, it lacks features like adjustable weight and extra buttons but it’s very fast and accurate, looks great, features primary OMRON buttons and is priced just right all of which mean it deserves no less than our Golden Award.
