    Getting the best graphics or sound cards matters very little if you don't pair them with the best monitor and speakers and well, this is something I've seen happen more times than I can possibly count. Of course, the "best" varies from person to person so for example when it comes to monitors, I tend to sacrifice refresh rates for larger screens (and higher resolutions) whereas others (serious gamers primarily) sacrifice screen size for refresh rates.
