INTRODUCTION

arozzi verona v2 proa

It may have happened a lot faster than we were expecting but gaming chairs have finally flooded the global market (by both popular and new manufacturers) and rightly so since they are currently a must especially among serious gamers. Some people do argue that gaming chairs don't provide enough back and neck support like many high-end ergonomic chairs do (primarily some expensive mesh models) and although we do agree up to a certain point (there are indeed some excellent ergonomic chairs in the market, at much higher prices however) at the end of the day looks also play a significant role when talking about what is basically another gaming peripheral. Size also plays a huge role when picking out the right gaming chair and so after listening to feedback from the gaming community Arozzi recently expanded their gaming chair line with the brand new Verona Pro V2 model.

Arozzi is a Swedish company founded in 2013. Arozzi gaming chairs are built in the spirit of Esports and feature ergonomic design with high levels of comfort. Our products have a refined aesthetic that draws inspiration from the world of motorsports. Each Arozzi chair can be finely adjusted to your needs to ensure you are in the best position to achieve your next victory, whatever the game!

The brand new Verona Pro V2 model by Arozzi (currently available in six color combinations as seen above) as designed for larger people so it's basically an "extended" version of the "normal" Verona model that features a wider backrest (550mm/470mm) and a wider seat (460mm/380mm). However for some strange reason Arozzi decided to keep the same backrest height (at 820mm), the same adjustable height for the seat (530mm max) and the same amount of foam density for the seat (40-45Kg/M3) and for the backrest (25Kg/M3). We really don't know why that is since the first thing we'd do would be to increase the height of the backrest and the foam density across the board (since larger usually means heavier). Everything else pretty much remains the same as the normal Verona model so once again we see a faux leather cover, metal frame, class-4 gaslift with support for up to 150Kg (backrest and base included), height adjustable armrests, removable head and lumbar pillows, 70mm wheels, backrest adjustment (up to 160 degrees) and the somewhat classic tilt/rocking (up to 12 degrees) and height adjustment mechanism we find with most desk chairs. So let's take a closer look at what Arozzi was working on lately.

PACKAGING AND CONTENTS

arozzi verona v2 pro 1tArozzi has redesigned their boxes so the Verona Pro V2 arrived in one filled with product pictures, color selection and a product description printed in 6 languages.

The entire bundle is placed in plastic bags and between thick pieces of foam and cardboard.

The 5-star nylon base was placed at the very top of the box.

We were somewhat surprised to see that both the neck and lumbar support pillows where already mounted on the backrest.

The seat with the two height-adjustable armrests was next on the list.

Arozzi also packs two cloth gloves, Allen key, assembly instructions, safety precautions paper and a warning paper notifying you that the bolts are already mounted on the seat and backrest.

Next we took out the class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover and the two side backrest plastic covers.

The five 70mm wheels where placed at the bottom of the box.

Arozzi has once again used the same z-support height and tilt/rock mechanism as with the X-Comfort by Tt eSPORTS and the EPIC by Noblechairs.

ASSEMBLY

arozzi verona v2 pro 12t

As standard procedure we started by attaching the 70mm wheels to the 5-star nylon base as seen above.

I was actually surprised to see that Arozzi used 70mm wheels, in a good way.

After that we mounted the class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover.

The seat comes with two green elastic bands for increased support.

Each armrest is secured onto the seat with a total of 4 Allen screws (8 in total).

Another 4 Allen screws are required to secure the height and tilt/rocking mechanism onto the seat.

This time over the height adjustment and tilt/rocking function levers are rubber coated which means that once you mount the handles they are not going anywhere (unlike with the EPIC chair).

There are two Allen screws mounted on each side of the backrest along with a small cut in between as seen above.

Once you’ve secured all Allen screws you can use the bundled covers.

The top end of the chair is now assembled so all that’s left is to place it onto the class-4 gaslift.

FINISHED LOOKS

arozzi verona v2 pro 26t

If you were to say that the Verona Pro V2 looks a lot like the Cougar Armor I’d probably agree and that’s not a bad thing really (although it’s probably due to the black and orange combination).

Quality is very good in overall without however competing to what we’ve seen from Tt eSports and their X-Comfort chair.

The Arozzi logo is placed on both the top of the backrest and the neck and lumbar support pillows.

The height-adjustable armrests move from 30cm all the way up to 37cm.

You can drop the backrest for up to 160 degrees so you can get a bit of rest if needed.

CONCLUSION

arozzi verona v2 prob
We never had a chance to test the original Verona chair so if you were waiting for a direct comparison with the Verona Pro V2 it’s not something we can do. After having however received and thoroughly tested a total of 12 gaming chairs to date we can say with certainty that the Arozzi Verona Pro V2 will not disappoint even the most demanding users not only thanks to its looks but also due to its good build quality, Z-support height/tilt/rock mechanism and its increased size compared to other similar models. We would of course like to see higher foam density pretty much everywhere on the chair (roughly the same issue we had with the Armor by Cougar) and why not also a taller backrest especially since this particular model was designed for larger people but for now at least it is what it is. Also Arozzi reports that the backrest can fall flat at a full 180 degrees something which is not entirely accurate. After contacting Arozzi the real number is indeed at around 160 degrees just as reported by us (we had to double check just in case we had received a defective sample).

Currently the Verona Pro V2 Gaming Chair by Arozzi retails for 299Euros inside the EU (directly from Arozzi) a price tag which quite balanced especially when compared to several other similar models in the market. Unfortunately it’s still not available in the USA but when it is we’ll update this review accordingly. As mentioned earlier our only “problem” with the Verona Pro V2 is with its foam density levels but that aside it’s a very good gaming chair which can cover a wide range of bodies and since we feel it delivers on exactly what Arozzi promises it gets our Golden Award.
