corsair tbt100 dock review b

After checking the charts there’s only a single thing that stands out, there’s not much deviation between the numbers and that means that you will not be losing almost anything in terms of performance by using the TBT100. Yes, not all benchmarks seemed to “like” the TBT100 (AIDA64 stands out) but that aside i didn’t encounter any issues with performance. I did notice that the Rock Pro 2TB portable SSD started heating up quite a bit during my benchmarks so i will be sure to point that out to CORSAIR but that’s just about it. The HDMI ports worked as advertised as well and as for build quality well the gunmetal grey aluminum enclosure is pretty much built like a tank.

With a price tag set at USD212.90 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and at 226.51Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) the CORSAIR TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 dock is properly priced. Yes, to some people the TBT100 dock may not seem a very useful device but it’s a safe bet that both MAC and PC users (with TB3/4 connectivity) will find numerous ways to make their lives easier with it. Overall, the TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 Dock by CORSAIR delivers on everything it should and for that it gets the Golden Award.
