Graphics cards have really gone a long way, just imagine that in almost 10 years’ time alone the best gaming models have jumped from featuring just 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory to all the way up to a staggering 24GB GDDR6. Of course, even great strides have been achieved in GPU architecture since now cards are capable of hitting digital resolutions of up to 7680x4320p (compared to the 2560x1600p of 10 years ago) and carry numerous gaming enhancing technologies. The Palit GeForce 2070 Super JetStream that we have here with us today may only feature 8GB of GDDR6 but it’s among the best selling models of this line so it will be great to see just how it competes with the AORUS model we reviewed just one week ago.

Established in 1988, Palit Microsystems Ltd. is well-known for manufacturing stable, excellent, and innovative electronics products. As one of the top PC components manufacturers, Palit continues to provide top-to-bottom graphics cards with stable and excellent quality to the world. With main operation in Taipei, logistic center in Hong Kong, factories in Mainland China, and branch office in Germany, Palit has developed a worldwide sales network and cooperated closely with our customers.

Just like with the AORUS RTX 2070 Super model that we reviewed last week the GeForce RTX 2070 Super JetStream by Palit is based on a cut-down version of the Turing TU104 GPU (instead of the TU106) which is also found in the more powerful RTX 2080/2080 Super models. This GPU features a total of 2560 shader units, 40 RT cores, 184 texture units, 320 tensor cores, 13.6 Billion transistors and a total of 8GB GDDR6 memory (256-bit, 14Gbps with a bandwidth of 448GB/s) making the RTX 2070 Super one of the most powerful GPU's created to date. Also, just like the AORS RTX 2070 Super the RTX 2070 Super JetStream model sports an improved cooling system (dual-fans however this time) complete with RGB effects, rear backplate and a GPU boost factory overclock of 1815MHz (45MHz over the stock clocks).
