eufy homevac s11 go review a

Cordless vacuum cleaners (sticks) have clearly changed the way millions of people all over the world see/treat cleaning and at least for me there's simply no way back to traditional vacuum cleaners. Granted, cordless vacuum cleaners may not pack quite the same punch as older models (and in some cases battery life is somewhat limited - not that anyone would use a regular vacuum for hours at a time) but the ease of use such models offer (not to mention the reduced storage space required due to their size) is not something anyone would give up (i know i wouldn't). Eufy may be well known mostly for their security related products but their product lines also include cleaning devices such as the HomeVac S11 Go Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner which i have here with me today.

eufy’s motto of “Smart Home Simplified” is what drives us to build easy-to-use smart home devices and appliances that are designed to enhance your life. From laser-guided robotic vacuum cleaners to wireless security systems, every eufy product is developed using cutting-edge technologies and is designed for your convenience. eufy is developing a new generation of connected devices and appliances that work seamlessly together to simplify the complete smart home experience. eufy is part of Anker Innovations, one of the leading and most trusted consumer electronics brands in America.

The HomeVac S11 Go model by eufy is available in two color combinations (black/purple and white/purple) and sports a brushless 80.000RPM motor (featuring their dual-vortex technology) which produces up to 120AW/20KPA of suction. The HomeVac S11 Go also features a total of 3 different suction modes (eco/standard/max), 650ml removable dustbin, 5-level filtration system (not HEPA) and a removable 2500mAh (63Wh) lithium-polymer battery pack which according to eufy can power the S11 Go continuously for up to 8 minutes in max mode. Along with the HomeVac S11 Go eufy also packs a plastic wall mount, motorized floor brush with 4 front LED lights, mini-motorized brush, 2-in-1 crevice tool, long crevice tool, flexible extension hose and an aluminum hose. So, let's see what you can all expect from the HomeVac S11 Go Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner by eufy.

PACKAGING AND CONTENTS

Eufy uses a white box to ship the HomeVac S11 Go in which as expected has a product drawing at the front along with the company logo and the main product features.

The model number (T2501) along with numerous certifications and contact infor for eufy are all printed at the rear.

Every piece of the bundle is placed inside a formed piece of cardboard and right on top we find a cardboard cover with all the parts printed on it.

Along with the HomeVac S11 Go the box also contains a plastic wall mount, floor brush, mini-motorized brush, long crevice tool, 2-in-1 crevice tool, metal hose, flexible extension hose, AC Charger, limited warranty paper and the owner’s manual.

THE HOMEVAC S11 GO

As with most cordless vacuum sticks the HomeVac S11 Go follows the typical gun-like design.

At the top as usual we find the 650ml removable dustbin which opens up from the front whenever you need to empty it.

For a more comprehensive cleaning you will need to remove the dustbin entirely and take it apart as seen above.

At the rear top we find the suction mode button which has 3 presets, low, mid and max (eco, standard and max listed on the website).

A high-performance filter is located on the other end and as expected you can remove and clean it.

The on/off trigger is located right beneath the motor and requires to be pressed in order to the vacuum to stay on.

As with most similar models the 2500mAh/63Wh removable battery pack is located at the base of the vacuum (this one also has 3 charging LEDs on it).

The main motorized floor brush glides easily thanks to its two large wheels and as with every other you can remove the brush inside to clean it.

The 4 LEDs at the front of the brush turn on at all times (not just when there's no light present) and yes, this is a rather useful feature that we don't see with every cordless vacuum cleaner out there (not even the Dreame T30 had it).

Nothing new in regards to the mini-motorized tool since we've seen it with most if not all cordless vacuum sticks to date.

The two crevice tools and the extension hose may not be the best in terms of quality but they are always good to have (and they do get the job done).

With the aluminum hose the length of the HomeVac S11 Go increases to roughly 97.5cm.

TEST RESULTS

Just like with robot vacuums all cordless handheld vacuum models will be thoroughly tested (for a duration of at least 20 days) to properly and accurately record/measure total battery life (using just the corner nozzle/flat suction tip for cordless vacuum sticks) and noise levels (from around 50cm distance using the ExTech HD600 dBA meter) in all available modes.

CONCLUSION

eufy homevac s11 go review b

The very first thing I noticed when I took the HomeVac S11 Go out from its box was the build quality of its exterior which compared to the likes of the Dreame T30 or the Roidmi X30 Pro is clearly not as good (and the same also applies for the wall mount and the extra parts/tips). At the same time however, this means that the HomeVac S11 Go is more lightweight and that reduction is just enough to make it a slightly more convenient model. As for the suction produced by the brushless motor it’s quite good actually, not the best I’ve encountered but during the 3 weeks I did use this particular model it had no problem cleaning everything I threw at it from dust, candy and pet hair to flour, breadcrumbs and even small leatherrete pieces (my cats are having a blast with my new leatherrete dressed chairs). Noise levels are also ok when the HomeVac S11 Go is used at low/eco and standard/mid modes and only skyrocket when max mode is enabled (I doubt you’ll be needing this a lot however). As for the color selection eufy chose to go with it honestly wouldn’t be my first choice. It’s not exactly bad but purple stands out quite a lot (both versions have it) and at least at both my home and office/lab that’s not a color that blends in easily with anything.

One of the things I like about eufy is that they first and foremost target casual consumers with their products (they do have premium ones but so far not in their cleaning lineup) and so currently the HomeVac S11 Go retails for USD249.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for just 145.87Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de). Yes, I was expecting a somewhat better pricing on the other side of the Atlantic but with all that’s happening now everything is more expensive. At the end of the day, I have no issues with the HomeVac S11 Go. Sure, it may not be the most powerful cordless vacuum stick I’ve used and in terms of build quality its enclosure certainly doesn’t stand out but at least on this side of the Atlantic is a great choice for not very demanding consumers and for that it gets the Golden Award.
