jbl 300tws review a

True wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are getting more popular by the day and yes that actually includes models from all price ranges. As a matter of fact, however sales of high-end models seem to have increased exponentially in 2020 something which reveals a lot about the large number of enthusiasts and audiophiles in the world willing to spend quite a bit for the optimal listening experience. Still certainly not everyone out there can afford or is willing to spend a lot for a pair of TWS earphones and for that specific segment of the market JBL recently released not one but two models, the Tune 220TWS and the Live 300TWS the latter of which I’ve been using for almost three weeks now.

JBL creates the amazing sound that shapes life’s most epic moments. From iconic events like Woodstock and concerts at Madison Square Garden, to games at Yankee Stadium and weekend road trips, JBL elevates listeners’ experiences with award-winning audio that lets them make the most of every moment. With unmatched professional credentials and over 70 years of delivering industry leading innovation, JBL is the authority in engineering superior sound.

The Live 300TWS are currently available in black & gold, navy blue and white colors and consist by two IPX5 certified (water resistant) plastic enclosures inside which JBL has placed two 5.6mm dynamic drivers that feature a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz with 16Ohm impedance and 95dB sensitivity. Two microphones with support for the Talkthru and Ambient Aware features along with two 55mAh rechargeable lithium-ion coin cell batteries (these provide the Live 300TWS with up to 6 hours of music playback) and a Bluetooth v5.0 module (with support for the A2DP 1.3, AVRCP 1.5 and HFP 1.6 profiles) are also squeezed inside the enclosures. Just like Jabra and other manufacturers JBL also bundles a carrying/storage case with the Live 300TWS that features an 450mAh rechargeable lithium-ion polymer pack inside via which both earbuds can receive up to 14 extra hours of playback time. Sounds interesting right?
