CONCLUSION

   The first thing people (especially gamers) check when looking for a new gaming mouse is the DPI so the G402 Hyperion Fury with its 4000DPI is far from the fastest model in the market today and that may affect potential buyers in a somewhat negative way. Surprisingly enough however the ability to track up to 550IPS gives the G402 Hyperion Fury excellent accuracy and speed. Of course it really goes without saying that you will never be able to hit such IPS especially since we were only able to go up to 82 while moving the mouse around like wild but in the end that number depends largely on the type of mouse pad/mat you're using and its size so since the one we used here although very good measures just 44cm diagonally some people with larger ones will certainly make it up to 100IPS and perhaps even more. In the end leaving out amount of IPS you can hit the technology used in the G402 Hyperion Fury improved accuracy and that's really what matters. The design of the G402 is also surprisingly good since we got used to it just after a couple of hours and although it lacks a weight adjustment system we think that Logitech has placed just the right amount (although i would have probably liked it quite a bit more if it was slightly heavier).

   When we finished testing the G402 Hyperion Fury and started checking around to see for how much it goes currently we were expecting quite a hefty price tag because it left us with very good impressions overall. Still Logitech has always offered a good price/performance ratio with their products and with a current price tag of just USD42.79 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and 44.99Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) you just can't go wrong with the G402 Hyperion Fury. Does that mean this is the best gaming mouse out there currently? Well we'd be lying if we said it was but it's a very good gaming mouse for its money (i guess it's not a coincidence that we've seen it in many LAN parties so far) and that is more than enough for it to secure our Golden Award.
