Sennheiser’s premium Bluetooth ear-canal headphones win prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD

A fusion of sound and style, Sennheiser’s HD1 In-Ear Wireless headphones are designed to turn heads and delight ears. Now, their blend of uncompromising sound performance, carefully selected materials and minimalist aesthetics has been recognized with a prestigious iF Label. The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world. Competition for the highly coveted iF Labels is fierce, and the jury of 63 international design experts considered around 6,400 submissions from around the globe.

Developed in collaboration with Zurich design agency StudioWeber, Sennheiser’s Bluetooth neckband headphones are a recent addition to the audio specialist’s premium HD1 range. Commenting on the iF Label, Oliver Berger, Head of Global Design Management at Sennheiser, explains how the HD1 story has always been driven by an ethos of exceptional design:

With a 10-hour battery life and featuring a high-quality dynamic speaker system that ensures a powerful bass response, detailed vocal projection and a great sound stage, the HD1 In-Ear Wireless enhances the experience of listening to music on mobile devices. The headphones’ ergonomic around-the-neck design and soft sheepskin nappa leather stitched onto the neckband offer all-day listening comfort. Ear adapters in four different sizes are provided for optimized fit in the ear canals to allow excellent attenuation of ambient noise. Meanwhile, premium materials such as the custom-machined stainless steel in-ear sound tunnels, mirrored chrome finish on the ear buds, and tough, impact-resistant polycarbonate give the HD1 In-Ear Wireless the strength for a life on the move.
