D-Link^® today announced it has expanded its DGS-1100 Series Smart Managed line of cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet switches with two new PoE models – the 10-port DGS-1100-10MP and the 26-port DGS-1100-26MP. Both models offer all the same features found in other DGS-1100 Series switches, including essential Layer 2 switching options, energy savings, and easy management. In addition, these two new D-Link Smart Managed switches have been designed with specific features meant specifically for IP surveillance applications, including a customized “Surveillance Mode” user interface.

With its Power-over-Ethernet capabilities (PoE), the DGS-1100-26MP supports 24 Gigabit ports, two Gigabit Combo ports, and an overall PoE budget of 370 watts, providing ample power for high density IP Surveillance networks. The smaller DGS-1100-10MP supports 8 Gigabit PoE ports, two Gigabit SFP ports, and a 130W PoE budget. All PoE ports on both models comply with the IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard – supporting up to 30W of power on each port.

Whether in Standard Mode or Surveillance Mode, the intuitive Web based management interface provides administrators with an easy way to set up, configure and manage the switches. It also allows for monitoring and controlling PoE functions, including displaying real-time PoE power usage, setting PoE time profiles, and remotely rebooting IP cameras or access points from anywhere on the network, including over the Internet. Administrators can also configure and manage their networks using SNMP or D-Link’s Network Assistant Utility. 

Additional features include: 

• Surveillance VLAN: Separates surveillance traffic from the rest of the network to ensure security and guarantee the quality of the video traffic
• Bandwidth Control: Reserves bandwidth for important functions that require more bandwidth
• Cable Diagnostics: Helps network administrators quickly examine the quality of the copper cables, recognize the cable type, and detect cable errors
• Loopback Detection: Detects unwanted loops and automatically shuts down the affected port(s)
• D-Link Network Assistant Utility: Allows administrators to discover multiple D-Link Smart Switches within the same L2 network segment, making initial setup of the Smart Switches quick and easy
• Limited Lifetime Warranty: The DGS-1100-10MP and DGS-1100-26MP carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty, furthering D-Link’s commitment to product quality and long-term customer confidence

Availability

The DGS-1100-10MP and the DGS-1100-26MP will begin shipping mid-May 2016. Both models will be available throughout D-Link’s vast network of channel partners, including value-added resellers, distributors and online retailers.
