ASUS is excited to partner with Cineplex Entertainment and WorldGaming to equip theaters across Canada with ASUS gaming monitors. The theaters will host Canadian gaming enthusiasts as part of the Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian Championships Presented by PlayStation tournament series. The events will feature numerous PC and console-based gaming tournaments throughout the year.

Vivian Lien, Chief Marketing Officer at ASUS Computer International, believes this unique partnership strongly supports both eSports and the growing community of gamers. “Although eSports has become an incredible phenomenon recently, ASUS has been developing technology for gamers since day one. From our powerful motherboards and gaming notebooks, to our industry-leading graphics cards and monitors, we’ve got the tools that will help gamers be at their best. We’re excited about this opportunity, and can’t wait to see how intense the competitions are going to be.”

Rob Segal, CEO of WorldGaming, agrees. “This is going to be one of the largest network of tournaments in Canada, and we’re anticipating a huge response. We’re proud to have ASUS as a partner. People are going to love how we’ve retrofitted the theatres to create an elite-gaming environment. And with ASUS, we’ve got a great name in gaming to support us.”

The Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian Championships Presented by PlayStation tournaments will begin with Online Qualifiers, moving to Regional Finals events in 24 Cineplex theatres across Canada. The tournament will culminate with the Canadian Championship event in Toronto that will be broadcast across the country.
