Taipei, Taiwan, November 2, 2015 - QNAP^® Systems, Inc. today announced the free Qmedia app available for Roku^® players and Roku TV models, allowing users to easily stream photos, music and videos from their QNAP NAS devices to home TV through QNAP’s DLNA Server function. Coupled with the support for video transcoding and hardware acceleration, users can enjoy a better, smooth viewing experience of their rich multimedia collections.

QNAP NAS supports DLNA Media Server to perform as a powerful streaming machine, and the Qmedia on Roku platform streams media content from QNAP NAS via DLNA protocol, allowing users to enjoy their media collections on TV through HDMI-out. Integrating the Media Library from QTS, the Qmedia leverages the same user interface to provide users with consistent browsing experience.
