NEC DISPLAY BRINGS HD RESOLUTION TO ULTRA-SHORT-THROW PROJECTOR CATEGORY

NEC Display Solutions of America, a  leading provider of commercial LCD display  and projector solutions, today announced the new U321H  ultra-short-throw projector, one of the first HD-resolution projectors in the  product category.

Targeting K-12 and higher  education as well as businesses of all sizes, the U321H projector ensures  razor-sharp display of graphics, text, images and videos.   It is ideal for classrooms, training  facilities, and meeting rooms where a wide-screen, high resolution display is  preferred.

The projector’s ECO Mode™  technology also increases lamp life up to 4,000 hours, while lowering power  consumption and maintenance costs.

“NEC is committed to  designing its products for long lifecycles,” said Richard McPherson, Senior  Product Manager of Projectors at NEC Display. “The U321H projector’s virtually  maintenance-free filter reduces the frequency for which cleaning is required,  thereby decreasing total cost of ownership.”

The U321H projector is  compatible with NEC DisplayNote Software, an app that lets leaders and  participants present, share and annotate content from any platform or device so  their notes are automatically saved. Starting in late July, the  U321H will also be available in configurations that feature either multi-pen or  finger-touch modules providing greater flexibility for interactivity, sharing  and collaboration.

Among the other benefits of  the U321H projector:

  • Ultra-short       throw distance of 0.25:1
  • Dedicated       HDMI/MHL input, which makes it easy for presenters to connect their smart       devices to the projector
  • Vertical       Keystone correction
  • Dual       HDMI inputs
  • 3D       Display
  • Wired       LAN, which enables remote diagnostics and control
  • Control       system ready – RS232, AMX, Crestron Roomview, Virtual Remote™, NaViSet Administrator 2
  • 8W       speaker
  • 10,000:1       contrast ratio

The U321H projector is available  now at an estimated street price of $2,299.  It ships with a 2-year  limited parts and labor warranty.  The U321Hi-WK, which includes  the projector, NP04Wi interactive Multi-pen module and custom wall mount, will  be available in late July at $2,949, and the U321Hi-TM, which includes  the projector, NP01TM Touch module and custom wall mount, also will be available  in late July at $3,249.
