NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider  of commercial  LCD  display and projector solutions, announced today the 17-inch LED-backlit  MultiSync® E171M display, a desktop monitor designed for cost and environmentally conscious business  customers.

The Energy  Star 6.0-compliant MultiSync E171M gives users a tool to help them enhance  their productivity.  The multimedia  display includes 50mm height adjustment and tilt capability for improved  comfort.

The MultiSync E171M also comes with ECO Mode™, which allows users to quickly adjust  their brightness setting, thus saving power and reducing energy costs.

Besides the LED backlight, users also have the ability to track their carbon footprint  savings with the MultiSync E171M’s carbon footprint meter, a unique tool that  calculates the reduction of green gas emissions. An Intelligent Power Manager  (IPM) tool, meanwhile, helps conserve energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions  by switching to a low power state, or automatically powering down when the  monitor is on but not in use.
