The GeForce GT 740M supports Optimus technology for instantaneous switching between the CPU's integrated graphics and the GT 740M under different user scenarios. This function means that even AIO PCs can achieve optimum energy-efficiency. Optimus uses the CPU's integrated graphics in normal desktop applications and automatically switches to the NVIDIA GPU when it detects a graphics-intensive program being used.
