ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access, connected home and routing products, today introduced GS1900 series of Web-managed, smart Ethernet switches. The series includes 8, 16 and 24 port switches with gigabit speed, PoE+ support (GS1900-8HP, GS1900-24HP and GS1900-48HP), a network error prevention mechanism, innovative green features and easy browser-based management for a variety of business applications.      “At ZyXEL, we continue to expand our Ethernet switch portfolio to help solution providers and businesses find the perfect switch in terms of features, port density and performance for their various business applications,” said Steven Joe, executive vice president for channel business for Americas at ZyXEL. “With the GS1900 series, we have simplified management of sophisticated features without compromising performance.”
The ZyXEL GS1900 series of smart switches come equipped with an intuitive Web wizard to simplify complex configuration processes, providing quick and easy set-up for sophisticated features like VLAN provisioning, Guest VLAN and QoS settings. The 8, 16 and 24 port versions come in a fan-less design for quiet operation. In addition, the new switches guarantee stable and secure operation with multiple error prevention functions, such as storm control, loop protection, dual images, DoS (Denial of Service) and SSL( Secure Sockets Layer). The GS1900 series also eliminates complicated setting procedures by consolidating them within a simple on/off switch in its Web-based GUI.

8, 24 and 48 Port PoE+ Option

The 8 port GS1900-8HP, 24 port GS1900-24HP and 48 port GS1900-48HP with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ offers businesses PoE ports with up to 30W power per port to conveniently deploy high-powered devices such as Wi-Fi access points, surveillance cameras and IP phones. These PoE switches also provide two PoE modes: Classification mode and consumption mode. In consumption mode, the switch reserves the actual required power automatically, and you can set power consumption priorities on different ports to optimize use of power resources. This capability increases the number of devices connected and delivers a better ROI.
