Ferrari California T

GENEVA – HARMAN, the premium global audio and infotainment group (NYSE:HAR), is bringing a newly-architected infotainment system to the brand-new Ferrari California. The Connected Media Center (CMC) system combines full-featured infotainment and connectivity in an easy-to-use user environment. The CMC infotainment experience will be available in the Ferrari California, which is being unveiled in Geneva.

The new CMC infotainment system, architected to perfectly complement the driving experience of the iconic Italian sports vehicles, delivers superb connectivity and compelling audio quality into the vehicle, all fronted by a new interface co-designed with Ferrari. With its 6.5” touchscreen, the CMC system offers easier access to the rich choice of entertainment, navigation and communication options. The system can also be voice-controlled, enabling drivers to make phone calls, send mail and text messages, give navigation instructions and play their favorite music without taking their hands off the wheel or their eyes off the road.

The Ferrari driving experience is enhanced through the premium JBL Professional sound system, allowing drivers and passengers to stream their music through Bluetooth, hook up devices of their choice or enjoy digital radio, and even stream off-board entertainment and other content through the CMC. The optional DVD player plays video and audio DVDs and CDs in MP3 and WMA format. The navigation system is equally flexible. Entering destinations is a one-step action, with the city, street and building number all in one natural sequence. A 3D-terrain model, 3D-cities and 3D-landmarks make navigation more realistic than ever.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ferrari. The engineers from both our companies share a passion for excellence – and a commitment to delivering landmark innovations that will delight the discerning clientele of both the Ferrari and HARMAN brands,” says Sachin Lawande, President HARMAN Infotainment Division. “With the new CMC system with its superb connectivity, Ferrari drivers can look forward to an unparalleled infotainment experience.”
