For blazing data transfers from HDD to PC, the Data Transfer Accelerator software reduces transfer time by half (when using transfer via USB 3.0). Even if you’re connected via USB 2.0, the Data Transfer Accelerator software doubles effective transfer rates to slash backup times when you’re in a hurry. Completing the software package, Backup Manager takes care of protecting precious files with automated scheduled and incremental backups of users’ data stored in the PC.

Available in a choice of black (HD-SG5B) or silver (HD-SG5S) finishes and weighing a travel-friendly 130g, the pocket-sized drives are ideal for business travellers. The new ultra-slim and pocket-sized HD-SG5 hard drive from Sony is available in Europe from February 2014.
