LG Electronics (LG) has earned a total of 17 awards, including 5 Bronze awards and 12 Finalist awards, at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2026, an international design competition organized by the esteemed Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).

IDEA is considered one of the world’s three most prestigious design competitions, along with the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. Having already won a total of 55 awards at the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award, LG has now added 17 more honors at IDEA 2026, once again demonstrating its world-class design competitiveness.

Each year, IDEA evaluates entries for design innovation, improvements to user experience and business viability, selecting winners across 20 categories including Home, Consumer Technology, Commercial & Industrial Products and Packaging.

LG received 5 Bronze awards this year for its differentiated design capabilities. The winning entries include the LG OLED evo AI W6, a wireless TV with a nine-millimeter-range* thin body, LG Therma V™ indoor unit series, an air-to-water heat pump (AWHP) designed to blend into indoor spaces, LG UltraFine evo, a high-resolution professional monitor with a four-sided slim-bezel design, the LG Smart Monitor Swing, featuring a flexible stand design that allows users to effortlessly adjust the screen and LG PuriCare™ AeroMini, an air purifier designed in a space-efficient form.

Additionally, 12 products were named Finalists, including LG CLOiD™, a home robot that helps with household chores by interacting with users through various facial expressions in response to voice and gestures, LG PuriCare System Air Purifier, a ceiling-mounted air purifier to maximize space efficiency and LG gram Pro, an ultra-lightweight laptop made with Aerominum, a new material developed for a more portable, durable and premium design.

In particular, LG CLOiD, the LG OLED evo AI W6, LG Therma V indoor unit series, LG PuriCare System Air Purifier, LG gram Pro and LG xboom Mini & Stage 501 won recognition at IDEA, the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award this year, completing a design awards “triple crown.”

LG also won in the Packaging category for its xboom series, a lifestyle audio product, and LG Sound Suite, a premium home audio system, recognized for design capabilities that span not just individual products but its overall brand experience.

“This recognition reflects LG’s design capabilities in creating products that blend harmoniously with customers’ living spaces while enhancing convenience and aesthetics,” said Chung Wook-jun, head of the Corporate Design Center at LG Electronics. “We will continue to provide a differentiated customer experience through innovative, customer-centric design.”
