
ASUS today announced a major update to the ASUS DisplayWidget Center monitor management software[i], providing users with a more intuitive way to control compatible ASUS and ROG displays. This latest release adds AI-based automation, deeper personalization with App Tweaker and OLED Care, and broader device integration — all while keeping monitor management simple with a mouse or keyboard instead of physical monitor buttons. Available as a free download from the ASUS website, DisplayWidget Center supports Windows 11 or later and MacOS on compatible devices. Additional improvements include a firmware update notification feature and one-key product registration that automatically fills in the device serial number.
AI agent-ready display control
This latest update to DisplayWidget Center moves it into the AI agent era. With ASUS Display Control Command Line Interface (CLI) and Agent Skill installed, compatible AI agents[ii] can adjust monitor settings through natural-language requests. Users can manage brightness, color mode, color temperature, and OLED Anti-Flicker without having to manually navigate through menus.
A single command can configure multiple monitors settings simultaneously on compatible ASUS monitors. For competitive gamers, the agent can draw on past usage habits to recommend a higher refresh rate, FPS, and OLED Anti-Flicker, along with the user’s preferred brightness setting.
Users can also ask the agent to check their calendar and automatically switch profiles to match the time of day: a morning profile with high brightness, 6500K color temperature, and Blue Light Filter off can give way to an evening profile with lower brightness, 4000K color temperature, and a higher Blue Light Filter setting for more comfortable viewing before bed.
The CLI executes monitor-control commands locally on the workstation, while the agent translates user intent into a series of supported actions. In IT environments, the CLI can also be deployed through endpoint-management platforms such as Microsoft Intune to help adjust various settings across multiple displays.
New AI-powered features
DisplayWidget Center also introduces two additional AI-powered features. AI Visual, available on compatible ROG and TUF Gaming monitors[iii], reads on-screen content in real time and automatically applies the most suitable visual mode. AI Assistant supports both text and voice input, letting users adjust display settings, access product FAQs, and get help with monitor functions through a convenient interface.
Personalized viewing experiences through App Tweaker and OLED Care
For convenience, DisplayWidget Center includes App Tweaker and OLED Care. The updated App Tweaker feature helps users create personalized display experiences for each application. It automatically switches display settings based on the app currently in use, allowing users to create unique profiles with customized image and color settings. This reduces the need for manual adjustment and creates smoother transitions between tasks.
At present, additional OLED Care functions include Boundary Detection, Outer Dimming Control, Global Dimming Control, and Pixel Cleaning. Together, these features help reduce image retention risk and support long-term panel care. Users can manage these settings, along with pixel-cleaning activation and reminders, directly in DisplayWidget Center.
Tailored for gaming, creative tasks, and daily productivity
This latest update to DisplayWidget Center also adds features designed around different display use cases, from gaming and content creation to business and daily computing. Gamers can launch GamePlus directly from DisplayWidget Center and call up the OSD menu with a keyboard hotkey or via a supported controller, instead of relying on monitor buttons.
For creators, ColorSync helps keep color settings consistent across multiple identical displays, while MacBook Brightness Control lets compatible macOS users adjust monitor brightness with familiar laptop keys, once enabled through macOS accessibility settings. ZenScreen users also benefit from Auto Rotation, which senses monitor orientation and switches automatically between portrait and landscape.
For business and daily users, new Eye Care tools such as Blue Light Filter, Color Augmentation, and Rest Reminder help make extended screen time more comfortable. Multi-screen management and keyboard hotkeys also support more efficient everyday workflows.
End-to-end coverage across the ASUS display ecosystem
DisplayWidget Center now extends beyond monitor settings. Users can fine-tune virtual display settings and spatial screen layouts on ROG XREAL R1 Gaming AR Glasses, or manage function keys and launch color calibration on the ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 calibrator — all from the same software. This wider integration helps make DisplayWidget Center a more unified control center across the ASUS display ecosystem.
