ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Gjallar premium gaming soundbar designed to deliver impactful, cinematic surround sound, clear in-game communication, and multi-platform compatibility to streamline any setup. It immerses gamers in a realistic 3D soundstage via 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos® surround sound with left and right full-range speakers, tweeters, up-firing channels and a powerful 5G wireless subwoofer.

The Gjallar includes an all-in-one audio control hub that provides convenient access to EQ settings, playback controls, input source selection, and RGB lighting. The audio control hub also houses the built-in Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) microphones for seamless communication.

The Gjallar offers versatile multi-device, multi-platform connectivity via USB-C®, HDMI® 2.1 (eARC), optical and AUX input, along with Bluetooth® 5.3. In addition, a built-in USB hub on the side of the soundbar allows for easy device connections via USB Type-A. ASUS Aura RGB lighting offers up to 16.8 million colors and four preset effects for a complete, cohesive gaming setup.

Gamers can use the web-based Gear Link PC tool or the mobile app to fine-tune EQ, adjust microphone settings, lighting, and more to create personalized listening experiences.

All-in-one audio control hub

The multi-function control hub provides intuitive command over EQ settings, playback, and RGB lighting. Its vibrant LCD display offers a seamless interface, allowing gamers to toggle between input sources and switch between EQ profiles optimized for gaming, music, or movies. Plus, the integrated microphones are powered by advanced AEC technology to intelligently filter out teammate voices and in-game sounds from the speakers to ensure clear communication. The microphones are further enhanced by an AI beamforming algorithm to optimize directional capture and suppress ambient noises like PC fans and system hum to enable exceptionally clear, natural voice pickup.

Multi-platform compatibility

Seamless multi-device integration is facilitated via USB-C, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), optical and AUX inputs, and Bluetooth 5.3. Gamers can connect the ROG Gjallar to a dedicated DAC for high-fidelity audio and switch effortlessly between PC, Mac, mobile devices, and PlayStation®, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch™ consoles. The ROG Gjallar supports up to 4K@120Hz pass-through via HDMI 2.1, while eARC ensures lossless, high-resolution audio and perfectly synced, low-latency visuals—delivering total immersion without compromising resolution. In addition, the USB hub includes two USB Type-A ports on the right of the soundbar are ideal for wireless dongles, external storage, and other peripherals for a streamlined setup.
