Synology today announced the launch of the RS6426xs+, RS4826xs+, and RS3626xs. These next-generation models deliver the performance and reliability required for enterprise backup, data management, and virtualization storage at scale.

Superb system performance for modern enterprise environment

The updated systems provides a higher performance ceiling for modern enterprise workloads, featuring superior write I/O responsiveness that reaches up to 165,000 IOPS on the RS6426xs+, while the RS4826xs+ and RS3626xs provide 135,000 and 115,000 IOPS, respectively¹. These units support petabyte-class scalability, allowing the RS6426xs+ to expand to 1,536 TB of raw storage² via four RX1225RP expansion units³ ,and offer flexible connectivity through built-in dual 10GbE ports with optional 25GbE or Fibre Channel upgrades⁴ for all models.

To ensure high availability, the series is built with hardware redundancy, including dual power supplies and support for Synology High Availability (SHA) for minute-level failover. Maintenance is streamlined through hot-swappable drives and online volume expansion, while out-of-band (OOB) management allows administrators to troubleshoot systems remotely, even when powered down.

Storage efficiency is further optimized via automated data tiering, which intelligently moves active data to high-performance drives and offloads inactive data to high-capacity storage. This system automates the balancing of performance and capacity, eliminating the need for manual data management while maintaining peak operational efficiency.

Availability
