Usually whenever we'd attend a LAN event the first thing to stand out would be all the new gaming screens and headsets promoted by all the sponsors but now the very first thing that attracts our attention are all the new gaming chair models. As a matter of fact gaming chairs have spread out the gaming community a lot faster than any other gaming peripheral to date. Of course this may also have to do with the large number of companies involved in the manufacturer and/or release of gaming peripherals (as opposed to the rather smaller number in past years) but whatever the reason gaming chairs are currently the hottest "commodity" among gamers. Tt eSPORTS is among the oldest gaming peripheral manufacturers in the market today and after testing their quite excellent X-Comfort gaming chair a while ago today with us we have the 2nd top model in their line called the X-Fit (XF100).

A division of Thermaltake Gaming, Tt eSPORTS is committed to bringing the most personalized and the highest quality gear for the most competitive cyber battles, and advances the idea of products designed by gamers for gamers. Tt eSPORTS has continually been a major driving force in inspiring, challenging, and taking to new heights eSports in the professional gaming industry; and currently sponsors a multitude of gaming teams and streamers from around the world by equipping them with the necessary gaming gears - keyboards, headsets, mice and accessories - to compete and succeed at the highest level at major eSport events such as: DreamHack, Insomnia, epic. LAN and the Intel Extreme Masters. Tt eSPORTS continually strives to promote eSports as a global phenomenon and to put it onto the world stage.

Just like the X-Comfort the X-Fit (XF100) Gaming Chair by Tt eSPORTS features their quite "unique" carbon style (PVC) faux leather cover which stands between regular faux leather (PU) and real leather covers both in terms of durability and quality. It also features a steel frame for superior durability (22mm diameter steel), 75Kg/M3 foam density (for the seat) for optimal body support, class-4 gaslift (supports up to 150Kg - upper chair body included), 75mm caster wheels (Tt eSPORTS is among a handful of companies which use such large wheels), 4D armrests (adjustable height, orientation, position and distance from the chair), 5-star aluminum base, removable neck and back support pillows (also covered with PVC faux leather), backrest adjustment (up to 160 degrees) and a Z-Support mechanism which can adjust the height of the chair (47.5cm-57.5cm) and its tilt angle (up to 14 degrees). So let's move forward with our review and see just what the X-Fit Gaming Chair by Tt eSPORTS brings onto the table.

PACKAGING AND CONTENTS

tt esports x fit 1tThe X-Fit arrived inside a plain cardboard box that has several drawings of the chair on all sides.

As usual most of the bundle is placed in plastic bags and between thick pieces of foam and cardboard.

The backrest was placed at the top of the box so it was the first thing to come out.

Inside the box you will also find the 5-star PU base, neck and lumbar support pillows, seat with both 4D armrests attached, Z-support mechanism, class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover, side plastic covers, five 75mm caster wheels, Allen key and the assembly instructions.

ASSEMBLY

tt esports x fit 11tOnce again we started assembling the chair from the base so the first thing was to mount the five 75mm wheels.

75mm large wheels are not common with gaming chairs but we like them.

Next we mounted the class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover (some gas lifts have small caps at the top which need to be removed).

The seat of the X-Fit features two extra metal flat bars and two green elastic bands for increased durability and support.

Each of the two 4D armrests is secured onto the seat with a total of 4 Allen screws (8 in total).

Another 4 Allen screws are required to secure the Z-support mechanism onto the seat (the plastic levers are already mounted so you don't need to worry about them coming off).

There are two Allen screws mounted on each side of the backrest along with a small cut in between as seen above.

Once you’ve secured all Allen screws you can use the bundled covers as seen above.

The top end of the chair is now assembled so all that’s left is to place it onto the class-4 gaslift.

FINISHED LOOKS

tt esports x fit 23t The X-Fit is without doubt one of the best looking gaming chairs we've ever seen not only because of its carbon PVC faux leather but also because it looks exactly like a racing bucket seat.

Tt eSPORTS has placed their logo at the top of the chair (the carbon like faux leather really stands out).

Looks is not the only thing going for the PVC faux leather since its quality is only second to real leather.

The 4D armrests can extend in height from 25.5cm all the way up to 32.6cm.

Both armrests can go also forward, backwards, left, right and rotate diagonally.

Both support pillows also have the company logo on them.

Typically for such a high-end gaming chair the backrest can drop up to 160 degrees so you can rest for a while.

This is how the rear of the X-Fit looks like and as you can all see the company logo is also placed here.

SCORE

score

Many of you recommended (including some manufacturers) that we place a chart pointing to the pros and cons of each gaming chair we test. Now of course since there's really no way for us to "benchmark" gaming chairs we decided to rate them based on their size, comfort and quality. Size and comfort usually go hand to hand (the larger the chair the more comfortable it usually is - also depends on the amount of padding) while in terms of quality having tested 17 models currently we think we have a good idea about that as well. Of course these scores are based on our personal opinions so do take them with a grain of salt.

CONCLUSION

tt esports x fitb

Although the X-Fit shares many characteristics/features with the X-Comfort however thanks to its more "racing bucket" design it's aimed towards people who would like a chair to "hug" their body rather than provide the best possible comfort/padding. We actually have mixed feelings about this so we brought in some friends to also sit in the chair for a while who in the end also had mixed feelings about it. Personally I like it but I’m just 1.82m in height with a weight of roughly 85kg so “larger” friends had a bit of a problem fitting comfortably in the chair. Build quality and attention to detail however just like with the X-Comfort is superb and we still can’t figure out the why more manufacturers haven’t released models with carbon like PVC faux leather (yes simply put it’s that good). As for the rest of the features we’ve seen them time and again but just like all the other chairs with the Z-support height and tilt mechanism the X-Fit is superior to all those that come with the butterfly model.

When you have your sights on a high-quality gaming chair like the Tt eSPORTS X-Fit you are probably well aware that it will cost quite a bit and with a current price tag set at USD349.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and 336Euros inside the EU (Amazon.co.uk) it does (surprisingly enough however not that more compared to even less impressive models). Personally if I had to choose between the X-Comfort and the X-Fit I have no idea which one I would cause the 1st is very comfortable whereas the 2nd looks great and almost feels like you’re sitting in a racing car seat. At the end of the day however the X-Fit (XF100) Gaming Chair by Tt eSPORTS is one impressive gaming chair and for that it gets our Golden Award.
