American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a global leader in BIOS, UEFI, BMC and EC firmware, for client computing, data center and Internet of Things devices, along with channel products in VDI and data storage products, demonstrates IoTbrix, a cloud-based firmware development environment for IoT devices and AMI Extensible Management Architecture, a remote management architecture for firmware management at Embedded World 2018.

The Embedded World Exhibition & Conference is an annual international embedded technology trade show that takes place in Nuremberg, Germany. Embedded World 2018 activities began today and will continue until Thursday, March 1. AMI representatives are currently in attendance at Embedded World, meeting with customers and demonstrating AMI’s latest products/technologies, including newly developed technologies IoTbrix and AMI Extensible Management Architecture (EMA).

IoTbrix is a cloud-based firmware development environment that enables users, with little programming experience, to create customized IoT solutions. The easy-to-use interface is presented in a web-based design workspace where users can simply drag and drop chips, sensors, actuators and other components into an IoT project. Once that is done, IoTbrix does everything else and generates the firmware code – no manual coding necessary.

AMI’s Extensible Management Architecture (EMA) is a pre-boot firmware management architecture where users can remotely manage firmware configurations/updates, OS deployment and hardware diagnostics within a UEFI environment. EMA’s comprehensive management support interface puts management capabilities in the hands of users, so that users can simplify their system maintenance and configuration processes.

For those interested in learning more about IoTbrix and EMA, the live demonstrations will take place at AMI’s booth in Hall 2, Booth #2-200. In addition to IoTbrix and AMI EMA, visitors can also talk to AMI representatives about Baseboard Management Controllers, Embedded Controllers as well as the latest developments in AMI’s flagship Aptio® V UEFI firmware. Visitors are warmly welcomed to visit and chat with AMI representatives to see how AMI’s extensive product lines and solutions allows for the creation of innovative technologies.
