QNAP® Systems, Inc. today unveiled the revamped Qmedia Android TV app for streaming multimedia content. Simply install the app in Google Play on your Android TV or set-top box to stream photos, music and videos from your QNAP NAS. The intuitive user interface is specifically designed for the whole family to conveniently enjoy a rich multimedia experience without needing a complicated setup process.

“QNAP is devoted to improving the multimedia experience for our users by bringing multiple platforms together”, said Bennett Cheng, Product Manager of QNAP, “based on our earlier Apple TV app, the Qmedia Android TV app has a refreshing new look and more-intuitive user interface alongside many new features to provide families with a complete multimedia experience on their smart TV.”

The Qmedia Android TV app can be installed on supported Android TV systems, including Sharp AQUOS, Sony BRAVIA, NVIDIA SHIELD and Mi Box (international version). The Qmedia Android TV app supports the features of three QNAP multimedia apps: Video Station, Photo Station and Music Station These features include: video categories, online information for movies and TV shows, subtitles, album browsing, photo slideshows and music playlists.

The Qmedia Android TV app is compatible with all Android TV 6.0 (or later) devices and can be installed from Google Play on the supported device. Video Station, Photo Station and Music Station must be installed on the local QNAP NAS to enable functionality within Qmedia Android TV.

The Qmedia Android TV app is now available for free downloading from Google Play™ on Android TV systems.
