Copenhagen, Denmark – November 16th 2016: Europe’s leading security industry magazine, Detektor, has named Sony’s SNC-VB770 as the “Best Product” in the Video Surveillance category. The award was presented to Sony at the 2016 Detektor International Award ceremony, held on November 16th at the Sectech security trade fair in Copenhagen.


A prestigious award The Detektor International Awards started in the year 2000 and recognize research and development within the security technology field to create products that are innovative and contribute to the ever advancing the security industry. The International panel of judges highlighted the following when presenting Sony’s SNC-VB770 as this year’s “Best Product”: “This 4K camera opens up a new world of opportunities as it works extremely well in almost complete darkness and enjoys the luxury of seamless clarity across the whole image. With this technological triumph Sony has created an undisputed winner of the Detektor International Awards 2016.”
Sony has won several prestigious Detektor International Awards in previous years. However, this year the competition has been particularly strong with several product launches in 2016. Sony was nominated along with Axis, Geovision and Avigilon in the category named Video Surveillance.

SNC-VB770 – Industry’s highest sensitivity 4K network camera Sony’s latest 4K network camera, the SNC-VB770, offers the highest sensitivity in its class - under 0.004lx, ISO 409600*. The new model combines ultra-high sensitivity with 4K resolution and advanced networking capabilities to give video professionals more flexibility to capture details even in extreme low-light conditions.
