Synology^® Inc. today launched RackStation RS816, a 1U 4-bay rackmount server specially designed for growing businesses and small offices. RS816 offers flexible scalability up to eight drives for up to 80TB in total raw storage capacity with Synology RX415 expansion unit while delivering advanced computing capability and robust application suite.

RS816 supports dual 1GbE LAN failover, plus the hot-swappable design for instant drive replacement, ensuring maximum uptime and minimum mean time to repair (MTTR), saving business immense time and resources on storage management and disaster recovery.

RS816 runs on DiskStation Manager (DSM), the most advanced and intuitive operating system for network-attached storage devices that offers a wide range of applications to bring better productivity at work.
