Today at Computex, Synology® and Mellanox Technologies announced plans to bring support for 25Gb Ethernet adapters to Synology's upcoming all-flash storage solution FlashStation FS3017 and XS/XS+ Series NAS. With the growing processing power of recent servers pushing the limits of 10Gb Ethernet, deploying 25Gb Ethernet adapters will allow businesses to take advantage of the ultra-high performance and throughput of products like Synology's FlashStation FS3017 and eventually open the door to 100GbE deployments.

"We're excited to introduce this 25GbE option which will greatly benefit Synology customers running data centers, video editing firms, or other environments requiring huge data throughput capabilities. By pairing 25GbE support with our new all-flash storage solution, Synology and Mellanox are bringing one of the most competitively priced, high-speed all-flash storage offerings to the market," said Vic Hsu, Vice President, System & Enterprise Group at Synology Inc.

"Thanks to this cooperation with a leading player in the network-attached storage market like Synology, more business users will be able to upgrade their data infrastructure and enjoy the benefits of our 25Gb Ethernet adapter. We look forward to continuing cooperation with Synology and bringing even greater solutions to the market in the future," Kevin Deierling, vice president of marketing, Mellanox..
