DisplayLink, the leading provider of USB graphics technology, today announced full support for the latest Microsoft Windows 10 Operating system and the ability to extend higher resolution monitor support for a full desktop experience across platforms as Windows Continuum enables applications to span phones, tablets, and PC notebooks. DisplayLink provided Windows 10 beta drivers throughout the early Windows 10 program, and concurrent with Windows 10 release to production, delivered a V7.9 production driver. The latest Windows 10 drivers are available for free download from DisplayLink’s website.

We worked closely with our eco-system partners via a beta program to extensively test early releases. The beta program allowed DisplayLink partners to confidently announce full Windows 10 support right out of the gate with Microsoft’s release to production announcement of Windows 10," said John Cummins, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.

With Continuum, Windows 10 also opens a new chapter for cross platform docking. Continuum will enable office applications and productivity suites to seamlessly run on notebooks, tablets and phones. Combined with DisplayLink’s docking solutions over both wired or wireless connections, Windows 10 notebooks, tablets or phones can connect and dock to corporate networks, and provide users with an uncompromised full multiple monitor workstation user experience. IT departments deploying DisplayLink enabled docking stations can provide true BYOD expansion with both forward and backward compatible connectivity, spanning existing computers with USB-Standard-A connectors, and new products with Type-C connectors. DisplayLink based 802.11ac WiFi docks and 60GHz 802.11ad WiGig docks will offer the same experience via convenient wireless connections.
