HARMAN Recognized for Promoting Healthy Lifestyles in the Workplace
 
STAMFORD, CT HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premier audio, visual, infotainment and enterprise automation group, has been recognized by The Business Council of Fairfield County as a Platinum participant in its 2015 Healthy Workplace Employer Recognition Program.

Presented by The Business Council’s Wellness Roundtable, the program applauds area employers that understand the competitive advantage of a healthy workforce and have implemented a diverse range of programs to promote a healthy workplace and assist their employees to live healthier lives. HARMAN was recognized in the Platinum category – the highest category of distinction – and was selected to present a case study on its health and wellness achievements at the Healthy Workplace Employer Recognition Program event on February 13 at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel.

HARMAN also offers financial incentives that allow employees and spouses to reduce deductibles and insurance costs by completing various wellness actions, provides access to health and wellness professionals who can provide coaching and counsel, and tasks local Wellness Site Champions with driving employee engagement with wellness initiatives at the local level.
