"The telecom industry is moving quickly along the SDN and NFV adoption cycle, with carriers shifting their focus from cost reduction to revenue generation," said Mr. Jason Marcheck, Service Director, Service Provider Infrastructure, Current Analysis. "With more use cases becoming available and more clearly defined ROI becoming critical to spurring deployments, we foresee 2015 being a crucial time in getting these technologies deployed. Accordingly, service providers are going to be looking to highly rated vendors, such as Huawei, to help guide them through what will certainly be a complex adoption and deployment process."

"Huawei has been actively promoting the commercialization of SDN/NFV since the introduction of the SoftCOM strategy in 2012. To date, we have partnered with over 20 telcos to conduct more than 60 joint SDN/NFV innovation projects worldwide, and several commercial deployments were successfully completed in 2014," said Mr. Ken Wang, President of Global Marketing and Solution Sales, Huawei. "We highly appreciate the trust and recognition of our capabilities that the operators have granted us and we stay committed to working as a long-term strategic partner for our customers, helping them enhance network performance and realize business transformation towards ICT convergence via deployments of industry-leading SDN/NFV solutions."

SoftCOM is Huawei’s revolutionary vision for the architecture of future networks based on key concepts and technologies including cloud computing, SDN, NFV and internet-based operations. Through its SoftCOM strategy, Huawei helps telecoms companies embrace the strategic opportunities of the information age and effectively manage the challenges brought about by the structural limitations of existing networks.
