Acer has obtained TUV Rheinland’s Low Blue Light certification for its monitors and is the first company to receive this accreditation worldwide. With eye health becoming a growing concern among monitor users, low blue light and flicker-free technologies have garnered more
importance in the industry. Products certified for low blue light by TUV Rheinland, the world's leading certification body on display testing, will offer consumers with a safer and more reliable choice.

Prolonged exposure to blue light is known to be harmful to the eyes and may potentially cause macular degeneration. Low blue light products help to lessen the negative effects of blue light exposure, ideal for heavy monitor users such as programmers, gamers and graphic designers. TUV Rheinland’s display-specific low blue light testing standard (2PfG) measures a display's blue light intensity, wavelength, and on-screen flickering during brightness changes.

Acer has continuously sought to provide products that are safer for its customers and more environmentally friendly. Its new generation of monitors with blue light filters is tested using TUV Rheinland’s low blue light standard and the settings are configured to meet the certification criteria.

Acer monitors with blue light filter include the award-winning B6 and V6 professional series, both made with post-consumer recycled material, and the latter also recognized for energy efficiency, as well as the K2 series for consumers.
