AES Gold Medal for Audio Research and Education HARMAN will kick off the conference with a major highlight during opening ceremonies on Thursday, October 9. Renowned Audio Pioneer and Former HARMAN Corporate Vice President of Acoustical Engineering Dr. Floyd Toole will be presented the AES Gold Medal for Audio Research and Education, which is the highest honor offered at the esteemed annual event. Current AES President and HARMAN Director of Acoustic Research Dr. Sean Olive - a longtime friend and colleague of Dr Toole - will present the award.
Dr. Toole will also present a two-hour tutorial titled Sound Reproduction: The State of our Science on Thursday, October 9, at 10:45 – 12:45pm in Room 306 AB. AES Student Zone & AES President’s Reception Presented by HARMAN HARMAN is proud to present the AES Student Zone which will be made available to all students and volunteers attending the convention who represent the future of the audio industry and are the behind-the-scenes power driving the show. Students and volunteers will use the zone to check-in for their service at the convention as well as to meet and relax between assignments throughout the week. Dr. Sean Olive will also host the annual President’s Reception on Saturday October 11^th – a HARMAN-sponsored, invitation-only event at the 2014 AES Convention.
HARMAN’s Clari-Fi Technology On Display HARMAN will exhibit its state-of-the-art Clari-Fi music restoration technology, which was first showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year.
