Sharp today announces the launch of two new high performance A4 colour multifunction printers (MFPs), which combine compact size with sophisticated productivity features, including Cloud capability. The MX-C301W and MX-C301 have been designed to meet the fast print, copy and scan needs of SMEs and be the desktop device of choice for large enterprises with a mixed deployment of A4 and A3 machines. 

The MX-C301W offers 4-in-1 functions (print, copy, scan and fax), while the MX-C301 offers 3-in-1 (print, copy and scan). Both models include 3GB memory as standard to manage high quality, complex jobs quickly and boast an internal 250GB hard drive for storing documents, Sharp’s largest ever drive for an A4 device.

The new MFPs allow businesses to make the most of the Cloud. With optional Sharp OSA installed, they can connect to Cloud applications (such as Sharp’s collaborative storage and workflow service Cloud Portal Office) via the devices’ 7.0” colour LCD touch screen. The MX-C301W also has standard wireless LAN, allowing users to print directly from Wi-Fi enabled devices including their smartphones and tablets.

Meeting high security standards, including encrypted scanning and Follow Me printing, which holds documents until you’re ready to print them in private, the MFPs are suitable for data sensitive environments such as financial and medical institutions. Even non-sensitive documents can be protected with 5-digit user authentication codes and secure network interfaces.

Print features include fast speeds, two-sided printing and heavy media support to create high quality document covers and dividers. Copy features include an ID Card copy function, which allows the front and back of a card to be copied on to the same side of a single page and scanning includes the ability to handle all commonly used scan destinations, including scan to e-mail, FTP server, network folder (SMB) and USB memory. All features are controlled via a 7.0” tilt-able and intuitive colour touch screen.
