Seagate Technology plc (NASDAQ: STX) has donated multiple batches of medical supplies through various channels to several hospitals in China’s Hubei Province to help in the fight against the novel (new) coronavirus (named 2019-nCoV).

Seagate has donated equipment including three fully medically equipped negative pressure ambulances, with a total value of RMB 1 million (150,000 USD), to Huang Gang Central Hospital, Xishui County Hospital, and Xishui County Chinese Medicine Hospital, all of Huang Gang City, Hubei, China, to help support health professionals.

The Seagate Charity Golf Fund has donated sixty sets of electro-respirators and accessories, valued at RMB500,000 (75,000 USD) in total, to Wuhan Union Hospital of China and the First People’s Hospital of Jiangxia, Wuhan; both front-line hospitals.

There are also plans for the Seagate Wuxi Labor Union to donate medical supplies worth RMB300,000 (43,000 USD) to hospitals in Hubei.

Furthermore, Seagate will continue to follow the situation, and proactively take appropriate action of epidemic prevention and control in all Seagate branches in China, including Seagate Wuxi Factory, to ensure the health and safety of all the company’s employees.
