Leading storage solutions provider Promise Technology Inc. announces its latest hardware RAID storage solution, the Pegasus32 Series, today is available for purchase on Apple’s online store globally. The external storage hardware series is macOS Catalina-ready and 2019 Mac Pro-ready.

The Pegasus32 Series is the first solution to the market that offers two symmetrical USB-C ports, allowing users to connect at maximum allowed speeds via Thunderbolt^TM 3 or USB 3.2 Gen 2, without having to dedicate a port to one or the other. The Pegasus32 Series is made up of a diverse product portfolio of capacity and size options to meet a variety of business needs, which include the R4, R6 and R8.

“Promise is excited to see its storage solutions continuously used and sold by Apple, first with Pegasus R4i and Pegasus J2i, the custom-designed storage solutions for Apple’s 2019 Mac Pro, and now with the Pegasus32 being sold at Apple.com,” said Edward Lin, Chairman at Promise Technology.

Promise Technology also recently announced that Promise custom designed the internal storage hardware options Pegasus R4i and J2i for the 2019 Mac Pro, in collaboration with Apple. These solutions are also available for purchase at Apple.com and through the Promise global network of distributors and value-added resellers.

The Pegasus32 Series is compatible with macOS Catalina, including the new Mac Pro as external storage. Its main features include:

1. Enables connectivity and versatility with the ability to connect at maximum allowed bus speeds via the same port to either Thunderbolt 3 enabled hosts at up to 40Gbps or USB 3.2 Gen 2 enabled hosts at 10Gbps.
2. Using Intel’s latest TitanRidge Thunderbolt 3 chip, works on 8K monitors via the full size 4-lane DP1.4 port, powers your hosts up to 85W with Thunderbolt 3 port and has up to 112TB of raw capacity with the R8.
3. Rock-solid HW RAID5+ protection, hot-swap 7200 rpm HDDs, and dual Thunderbolt 3 ports to daisy chain.
