HARMAN Professional Solutions delighted scores of music fans in India with yet another successful edition of HARMAN Live Arena at The Palm Expo- country’s foremost exhibition of Professional Audio Products. A roster of incredible musicians rocked the stage for three days, powered by HARMAN’s legendary professional sound and lighting. The performers were an eclectic mix of new and existing brand ambassadors representing the best of independent music in India.

Day one was kicked off by the band- ‘One Plate Idli’- one of the most original instrumental bands in the country with a unique Carnatic sound. Their soulful performance set the tone for the rest of the day where ‘Aditi Ramesh Quartet’ and ‘DCF_Shapes’ continued to woo the incoming audience. The best was saved for the last as the popular music sensation- ‘Akriti Kakkar’ took the stage and got the audience dancing to the tune of Sufi and Bollywood music. But it was the final performance by Sitar Maestro ‘Niladari Kumar’ that brought in a sea of people at the Arena who quietly consumed the genius of one of India’s biggest classical music artists.

The second day began with a drum beats of renowned percussionist ‘A. Sivamani’ who was joined by R Bharat Brass Band and Pianist ‘Stephen Devassy’. Interestingly, Stephen holds the record for being the highest Asian scorer in Piano exams from Trinity College of music, London. With this pedigree of performers and iconic professional sound, HARMAN Live Arena was replete with audiophiles from different parts of the country. After this energetic start, day two saw performances from bands- ‘Lakkhichara’ and ‘Collect2’. The former is a unique rock band from Bengal (East of India) and have released multiple albums since 1999. Collect2, as the name suggests, is a collective of regional musicians who debuted on the HARMAN Live Arena stage this year. The evening progressed to the highlight of the day where our new ambassador- ‘The Darshan Doshi Collective’ mesmerized the audience their fusion sounds and impactful vocals. ‘Elementaal’ was the final act who put the audience in a trance with their ethereal sounds.

‘The Fanculos’, a 5-piece Ska and Reggae band opened up the final day of HARMAN Live Arena 2019. Their cool tunes got the audience grooving along. Singer-Songwriter ‘Nush Lewis’ followed the act with a spectacular performance with her harmonic harp. The afternoon was taken over, once again by Pianist Stephen Devassy attracting a huge crowd in the middle of the summer day, at the Arena. And to provide a fitting finale to three days of musical extravagance, our newest brand ambassador- ‘Mame Khan’s ‘Rock N Roots’ Project’ took to the stage. Mame Khan comes from the royal state of Rajasthan and was born in a family of master singers, who have been performing a unique, oral tradition since more than fifteen generations. This Folk-Fusion Collective set the stage on fire with their repertoire of traditional folk and Sufi songs. Suffice to say, it was the grandest of the musical finales at HARMAN Live Arena 2019.

Along with enthralling consumers at Live Arena, HARMAN Professional solutions also launched a range of exciting new products that were at display at the HARMAN booth at Palm Expo.  From foldable headphones by AKG to compact line array loudspeakers and reference monitors by JBL Professional, the products aim to give content makers the ability to hear all the details for better results while mixing and editing.
