CONCLUSION

Just like we were the very first English written review site to review the Hellion and the very first to showcase alpha pictures of the El'Druin we are also the first to finish a very thorough review (aside giving away one as well) of it and we did that by playing several game titles such as Planetside 2, Far Cry 3, MechWarrior Online, Diablo 3 and Hitman Absolution. The verdict? Well first of all it's quite fast and very accurate (since it uses the Avago sensor that was expected), however i do prefer the shape of the Hellion when playing FPS games although in a strange way the El'Druin actually glides a bit better (though the other two people who also helped to test the El'Druin disagree with me and feel that the Hellion glides a bit better). Now both the 5-way SPAD and the right side ring will take some time to get used to (especially to avoid accidental clicks) but in the end they are very easy to use and offer the same functionality as other multi-button gaming mice without however using up the same amount of space. The only thing really missing from the El'Druin is a weight adjustment system since its 120g may be more than ok but it wouldn't hurt for gamers to have that extra option (perhaps Leetgion can implement it later on) especially since i think it would be nice if it was just a tad heavier.

The El'Druin just got officially released (or it should be in a while) so currently we only have a recommended price tag which is set at around USD89.95 inside the USA and 69.95Euros (estimated - not official) inside the EU and so just like the Hellion it's placed right alongside with the most expensive gaming mice in the market. In the end however it's always about what you need and what you can afford so although for casual gamers the El'Druin may not be the most tempting gaming mouse out there because of its price tag this is not the case for hardcore gamers (especially Diablo fans) and enthusiasts who just want the best there is without taking a second look at the price. Personally I’m very picky when it comes to RPG games so getting a mouse aimed towards those is not something I’d do, however the El'Druin is also very fast, extremely accurate and glides even better than the Hellion while both the 5-way SPAD and the DPI/Profile selection ring can come in handy with pretty much every game out there so because of all that we are giving it our Golden Award.
